Welcome to Golden Eye Chef 2025

The world’s first and only international cooking competition for blind and visually impaired chefs has launched its 7th edition
— an extraordinary celebration of skill, passion, and human spirit beyond sight.

Golden Eye Chef is more than a culinary competition — it’s a movement.

A movement that celebrates passion, resilience, and creativity in the kitchen, regardless of sight. This international event offers a platform for visually impaired chefs to showcase their skills, tell their stories, and challenge expectations.

Golden Eye Chef 2025 – The Contest

Golden Eye Chef 2025 is a two-phase competition:

• Phase I: Online video submission
• Phase II: Live cooking contest in Agra, India

Phase I: Online Video Recipe Contest

Theme : “One Pan Wonder: Quick and Simple”

Challenge Requirements

Participants must:

• Use only one pan
• Use five ingredients or fewer (excluding salt, oil, water, and basic spices)
• Submit a video (maximum 15 minutes) including:
  1. Name of the dish
  2. List of ingredients
  3. Step-by-step preparation, cooking, and plating
  4. Personal story or meaning behind the dish

• Totally Blind Chefs
• Partially Blind Chefs

All submissions will be evaluated by a professional jury.
The People’s Choice Award is based on public voting from 2 to 10 August 2025 and does not affect jury decisions.

Timeline: Phase I

• Announcement: 7 June 2025
• Submission Deadline: 7 July 2025
• Public Voting (People’s Choice): 2 – 10 August 2025
• Finalists Announced: 24 August 2025

Phase II: Live Cooking Contest – Agra, India

Finalists will be invited to Agra for a three-day cooking competition. More details will be revealed at the time of the Phase 1 results announcement.

Who Can Participate?

• Open to legally blind individuals (with valid blindness certificate)
• Age: 18 years or older by 7 June 2025
• Open to all genders, languages, and countries

Entry Guidelines

1. Create your recipe video
   • Max 15 minutes
   • Include name, ingredients, steps, and story
   • Use landscape mode
   • Minimal editing (only pauses allowed)
   • Cook in your own kitchen
   • No cooking assistance permitted
2. Name your files properly
   • Format: YourName-DishName.mp4
3. Download and fill the entry form
   • Include your blindness certificate
4. Submit your entry
   • Email to: info@goldeneyechef.com
   • Upload via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or Dropbox, and share the link
