
Dr. Charuta Gajbhiye
Hospitality Educator, Skills Mentor& Advocate for Culinary Inclusion
Dr. Charuta Gajbhiye is a passionate educator, researcher, and hospitality professional with over three decades of experience in teaching and mentoring within the field of Hotel Management. With a Ph.D. in the subject, she has spent her career at the intersection of hospitality, sustainability, and social change.
Since 2017, Dr. Gajbhiye has dedicated herself to making hospitality education more inclusive. She has designed and led unique training programs for hearing-impaired students, helping them build skills and find meaningful employment in the hospitality industry. Her work doesn’t stop there — she’s also empowered indigenous women by conducting homestay training workshops, enabling them to earn a livelihood through sustainable tourism.
She is the author of “Human Resources – Retention Strategies for Women in Hospitality,” a book that’s been recognized internationally and is housed in the British Library in the UK. Her research explores powerful themes like Indian Knowledge Systems, Satvic food innovations, traditional waste management, and community-driven sustainability.
Dr. Gajbhiye’s leadership has been acknowledged on several platforms — she’s been part of the prestigious Leadership Programme by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in London. Her work has earned her a D.Litt. for contributions to social research, the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award for social reform, and the Women Leadership Award by GHRDC. Her institution has also honoured her for bringing national and international recognition to its name. At the heart of everything she does is a strong belief in inclusive education, gender equity, and sustainable hospitality. Dr. Gajbhiye continues to inspire by blending tradition with innovation, creating a meaningful impact in every space she steps into.
