The 7th edition of Golden Eye Chef, the world’s only international cooking competition for blind and visually impaired chefs, officially launched today. With a powerful message — “Cooking Beyond Seeing” — this year’s contest is a celebration of raw talent, resilience, and creativity that goes far beyond the visible.
A Global Stage for Culinary Brilliance — Beyond Sight
The official announcement was made by Founder Akhil Srivastava and renowned culinary mentor Chef Kuldeep Singh, inviting blind chefs from around the world to participate in this one-of-a-kind movement.
“Golden Eye Chef is not just a competition — it’s a revolution,” said Srivastava. “It’s a powerful reminder that true vision isn’t what you see, but what you create.”
Since its inception in 2019, Golden Eye Chef has touched more than 200 participants across 15 countries and 5 continents, building an inclusive community of culinary artists who challenge perceptions and break barriers with every dish.
What’s New in 2025?
This year’s edition comes with a fresh format and a stirring new theme.
Phase 1: Video Submissions
- Theme: One Pan Wonder – Quick and Simple
- Participants must submit a cooking video using just one pan and five ingredients or fewer (excluding salt, water, oil, and common spices).
- The focus: simplicity, flavor, and storytelling.
Phase 2: Live Grand Finale in Agra, India
Shortlisted finalists will compete in a professional kitchen in Agra, judged by an esteemed international jury of chefs, restaurateurs, and dignitaries.

Who Can Apply?
Golden Eye Chef 2025 is open to all legally blind individuals aged 18 and above — regardless of nationality, gender, religion, or background. Whether you’re cooking in a rural kitchen or a modern apartment, if you have the passion, this platform is yours.
